This year will kick off Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that was first established in 2008 with Iron Man. Unlike last year, in 2013 we will be treated with two films instead of one. This year will also mark the first film in the Cinematic Universe to hit the threequel mark and the second and third film under the new Walt Disney Pictures ownership.

Note: The following list does not include films that are not owned or produced by Walt Disney Pictures. However for your convenience I will include the third Marvel film, The Wolverine. Set to be released on July 26th, the film  is directed by James Mangold and will be the sixth instalment in the X-Men series. The film is not a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine but instead will be a standalone film taking place after the events of The Last Stand.
