Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment plans to release James Cameron’s Titanic documentary Ghosts of the Abyss onto high definition 3D Blu-ray. According to Stitch Kingdom this news comes ahead of any official announcement and will be released on April 17, 2012, just a couple of days after the centennial marking of the ship’s fate.
The film was originally shot for IMAX 3D and has since had a 2D DVD release, but this new home media release will mark the first time this film will be available to be purchased in 3D for home viewing.
