So once again we come to that sad time of the year when Disney locks away our favourite classics. As the marketing line “for a limited time only” holds its promise this is a reminder for you to quickly go out to the shops and track down these classics.

Inside the Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-ray packaging there was a leaflet announcing what films will be heading back into the Disney Vault. The leaflet was unfortunately announcing that The Lion King Diamond Edition and Lady and the Tramp Diamond Edition would both be heading back into the Disney Vault.

Moratorium 2013

I have yet to confirm, but I would not be surprised if it is true that The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride and The Lion King 1 1/2 will be heading into the vault alongside Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure. As I was saying before I am yet to find an official confirmation on this, if you have an image or a link to an official release can you please comment in the section below.

For a recap of what is heading back into the Disney Vault at the end of next month check out the boxarts below:

Interesting, thanks. I’ll keep looking out to see if I can get a hold of any official information.

On the Disney Movie Club site, Lion King, Lion King II, Lion King 1/2, Lady and the Tramp, and Lady and the Tramp II are listed as going back to the Vault.
